Quek Joo Chay (JC), Managing Director

JC has over 17 years extensive experiences, including 12 years at top management level, working for and with some largest companies in the world to even startups that across industries like electronics, telecommunications, engineering, retails, food and beverages, information technologies, financial auditing, management consulting, and event management. Positions include CEO, CFO, Vice President General Manager, Regional Manager, Management Consultant, and Program Manager

JC’s experiences comprises of corporate management, family business, entrepreneurial activities, and region exposure made him a versatile and all-rounded personal with world-class management skills, knowledge, and characters. He has a passionate belief that holistic approach is the key to success in any organisation.

As a progressive leader and trusted advisor, many came to JC to turnaround dying companies, improve revenue, liquidity, and profitability and design highly effective companies. He had saved companies from being bankrupt and turn them from 4 times debt to equity to 1 time with positive cash flows, increase a company’s value 22 times within 1.5 years before selling off, help client from startup up to pre-IPO stage over a span of 6 years, increase 5 times of a company’s revenue within a year, manage and roll-out complex hybrids IT & business improvement solutions for 17 business units across Asia Pacific one time off, and penetrated a 20 years monopolized market within 6 months.

JC graduated from Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) at the beginning of his career.

What do you like most about your profession?

What questions do clients most commonly ask you? How do you respond?

Q1:

Describe a recent client engagement or project.

A client facing $1 million negative cash flow and need to repay $150k every month. On top of this spend $80k overheads monthly. In another word - need $230k cash per month Break-even point => $380k per month At that time. the client was making $150k per month. Client engage me to overcome cash flow panic and to save the company from bankruptcy. I took up the project (within 12 months) and produce the following results: 1. Negative $200k cash flow (improve by 500% or $800k) 2. Monthly sales => $450k (improve 18% or sales and increase 57% gross profit)

3CTT helps businesses and business leaders to achieve higher performances and sustained business successes through uniquely designed solution model. This solution model consists of a road path to success where 3CTT built clients’ success with an integrated 7 value systems. Many clients experience almost “instant benefits” and subsequent “quantum leap” to achieve sustained successes in longer term! The solution model is also design to turnaround badly shaped businesses and then set to the correct success paths.

We work with our clients very closely to build their capabilities and leadership skills at every level and every opportunity. This helps to build internal support, get to real issues, and reach practical suggestions. We bring out the capabilities of clients to fully participate in the process and lead the ongoing success.

Our resourceful business networks are solid platforms for clients to leverage on. We work with clients on their most challenging issues requires deep industry and functional expertise. We consistently improving the 7 value systems to deliver the best value to our clients.

So far, we have clients increase profits by 5Xs each year, secured seed funding; robust Startup for successful business growth; IPO after 6 years of incorporation; and turnaround a near to death company > 60% ROI, etc.
