My career has always been about helping others. I love to watch organizations transform as they adopt cutting edge technologies that fit within their budgets, as well as strategies that create more employee connectedness, efficiency, security, etc. I also love helping charitable organizations tap into resources that allow them to better accomplish their missions because they can obtain the technology needed to do so.
Protelligent deployed some of the first cloud solutions in 2002, before most of the current large players in the market jumped on board in 2006. Protelligent's solutions are highly scalable, incredibly secure and robust, and designed better than the rest. How can we say that? Our cloud environment has never gone down, something that others cannot say.
That being said, all that is just the foundation for what we really do, which is to transform organizations using technology at the core, and C-level strategy for business processes and ERP integration.
What do you like most about your profession?
I love being the catalyst that allows a company to blossom and transform through the use of technology and strategy.
What questions do clients most commonly ask you? How do you respond?
What are our options? How can we improve our computer network? How can I make sure my data is never compromised or lost in the event of a disaster? How can I secure my computer environment from the threat from within, namely a disgruntled or unethical employee? How can I avoid fines with regulatory agencies?
Describe a recent client engagement or project.
Full SharePoint deployment and integrating with Salesforce, and 4 other solutions, one of which is a proprietary CAD design system used on the production floor. Full conversion from wired to wireless was also completed recently.
What are 3 attributes you need to be successful in your industry?
Enterprise class design expertise. C-level strategy. Outside the Box thinking for maximizing ROI.
What are the most important things to consider when hiring a service provider in your field?
Partner with an organization that offers true CIO-level engineers, and you won't need to worry if a project is too complicated.
How are you different than others in your profession?
We help clients transform their IT Departments into profit centers.
What are your biggest professional influences (books, mentors, events)?
Steven Covey, Zig Ziggler, Willy Wonka.
How do you typically handle disagreements with clients?
Rarely will there ever be a disagreement when time is taken to understand client needs, and craft a solution that fits that need. In the rare case of a disagreement, discussing options, and being willing to head in a different direction for the solution allows a win-win outcome.
Describe your proudest professional accomplishment.
Created the Hayden Lake Marathon world class event...but that was volunteer work.
Why does everyone settle for a 'break/fix" IT environment?
With proper design of the foundation, and proper use of technology to monitor the health of computer systems, you should never be "down." "Always on" works much better for organizations that want to make a profit and keep employees happy and productive. Technology is your friend when it works. We guarantee that we will keep it up 24/7.
